I would add thesa as new armor for assassin.

and this skill: the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique, for, well, to be fair all profession, your character have to learn this particular skill from this guy in an elite dungeon thing

1 energy, casting time 2, only recharge if you kill a boss. like res sig, if you are hit with the five point palm exploding heart technique, and you move outside of the agro circle of the foe you die. i can totall use this in all end bosses hit them run away.

You do realise that Tarantino himself was pop-culture referencing himself to death in that don't you? The Bride's gear is a Bruce Lee riff, and the old guy was making films when QT was still a kiddie watching Grindhouse and Chop socky till his eyes bled. Look up Game of Death / Lady Snowblood / Zatoichi if you don't believe me.

OT: More Serenity / Firefly refs would be fine with me. But it's drenched with them already.

I think 'Smell Yo Dick' should be added.

Why?

To be honest I know where 80-90% of the in-game pop-references come from. In this thread I've known about 20%
I think leaving it to the proffesionals at Anet is best or every wierd video from YouTube that ANYONE has found would be in it

I would add a warrior boss named Gallagher, and make him drop a green weapon "Gallagher's Hammer".

For those who don't know who he is:
Gallagher was one of the most popular and recognizable American comedians during the early 1980s.
His signature schtick is the “Sledge-O-Matic,” a large wooden mallet that Gallagher uses to smash a variety of objects, including computer keyboards, containers of cottage cheese, cartons of chocolate milk, tubes of toothpaste, pound cake ("I guess it does"), Big Macs, and, most famously, watermelons.
(taken from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Gallagher

Couldn't think of anything to put in the blank. I'm not clever enough.
Bring back clay bricks and mud bricks (I've been inspired by the thread about these going on in Riverside right now). In order to craft clay bricks, you need mud bricks, which are only available as a quest reward from some NPC who says...

(wait for it)

"So, I heard you like mud bricks?"

I think whenever a ranger uses a touch skill there should be box saying "Touch me baby one more time!" - I don't like Britney Spears though.

It's not really pop culture but some Civil War references for the Kurzick/Luxon would be hilarious.

Pop culture references are only good if done properly. "Drakes on a Plain" is an example of a good reference. Almost everything in this thread are horrible ideas and it appears no one understand what satire is.
Quickly everyone grab your torches we can still chase the troll back to his cave! (AKA raid at 7 oclock)

Zinger is right, you guys are doing it wrong. You can't just stick 'herd u liek mudkipz' in the game and expect it to fit. Stop being unfunny newfags.

I dislike you, just because you said newfags.

And these are just suggestions/thoughts. Don't be such a harsh judge.

I'd like to see some Pulp Fiction reference, something like:

"Whose horse is that?"
"This is not a horse, this is a centaur."
"Whose centaur is that?"
"This is Zhed's brother (maybe?)."
"Who's Zhed?"
"Zhed's dead baby. Zhed's dead. Now let's go!"

That's why it's a reference, jackass. You say something like "So, I heard you like these"... Not just plugging in the exact words.

Anything Space Balls related would serve well, but unfort fall on mostly deaf ears with the new generation of players.
